Centennial Weekend is Almost Here!

Our Centennial Weekend celebration is September 10-12, 2021! Read how YOU can celebrate with us!

Earlier this year, a Centennial Weekend Planning Committee began meeting to plan a 100-year celebration of All Souls. Along with All Souls staff, the Committee started conceptualizing what we believed to be among the first opportunities for our community to gather, en masse, in person. We chose the late-summer date of September 10-12, which, at the time, seemed to be a safe date to gather.

As we realized the Coronavirus pandemic was increasingly making in-person gatherings unsafe, the Committee, using information provided by the Covid task force, made the difficult decision to postpone in-person gatherings, moving our celebrations to online events. The decision was made with careful consideration and, honestly, a little heartbreak.

Amid a global pandemic, our community loves one another and continues to support our church. So, the Centennial Weekend celebration marches on and here’s how YOU can celebrate with us!

Get your tickets to the Love & Light Online Gala!

The ticket price of $100 goes directly to support church operations and you get to enjoy delicious food from Chef Randy Page of Cricket & Fig. Chef Randy is creating a special fondue food box for our local Love & Light attendees. Guests worldwide will have exclusive access to our Centennial Chalices, handcrafted by artist Greg Stiles of Cherokee Copper. These are limited edition chalices made from the copper of our original, 1955 steeple! You will not want to miss the evening program on Zoom, with an incredible show featuring live and pre-recorded entertainment and online auction.

Homecoming Sunday

Our ministers and musicians are planning a limited-capacity in person Homecoming Sunday service with special programming for our online audience. This will be a historic service, lifting all our spirits and starting our church year with a celebration of Love Beyond Belief!

As we face the uncertainty of the coming months, All Souls will continue to create safe ways to be in community and provide support when needed most.

For All Souls to remain strong, please give what you can, attend Love & Light Online, and offer your time as a volunteer. Our church is as strong as we make it. Please, mark your calendars, get your tickets, and I will see you online!

With Love Beyond Belief,
Alicia McLain
Executive Director of Development
