All Souls’ annual Sweetheart Ball is a big party for kids and their adults! On Monday, February 12 put on your fancy clothes (or favorite costume) and your dancing shoes! This family-focused, prom-style event is jumping with our DJ spinning your kid’s favorite music. A spaghetti dinner, balloons, a photo booth, and a silent auction make this a night of family fun for everyone!
The Sweetheart Ball is sponsored by our Unitarian Universalist Parents (UUPs) group. For only $20 per pair, you can have a blast and support UUPs effort to give the kids at our partner schools, Jackson Elementary and McLain 7th Grade Academy, items they need.
“Each year, UUPs buys hats, gloves, socks, and a stuffed animal for every Pre-schooler and Kindergartener at Jackson,” UUPs member Rachel Mize said. “We’ve learned this may be the only winter wear some of these kids have. It’s a true comfort knowing those little frosty fingers will be cozy this winter!”
UUPs also provides middle schoolers at McLain 7th Grade Academy essentials like soap, deodorant, lotion, and socks. Everybody needs socks! “The school nurse at McLain has UUPs on speed dial and calls any time they need sanitary supplies,” Rachel said. “These items are essential to keep all those pre-teens feeling focused and safe at school.”
Bring the whole family to our Sweetheart Ball and eat, dance, play, and bid generously. Together, you’ll make memories and make a big difference in the lives of Tulsa children.
