45TH TULSA MLK PARADE POSTPONED

UPDATE 1/11/2024: Due to the expected cold weather, the 45th Tulsa MLK Day parade is being postponed. Once a new date is set we will provide that update here.

Please note that our sign making, and float building scheduled for January 14 has also been postponed until a later date.

As January unfolds, our commitment at All Souls to justice, equality, and community has never been more vital. This year, we honor the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by participating in the 45th Tulsa MLK Day Parade on Monday, January 15, 2024. We invite every member of our congregation and community to join us as we walk in solidarity, reflecting on the timeless values that Dr. King championed throughout his life.

Join Us in Honoring Dr. King

Your participation is a powerful testament to the strength and diversity of our community. Here’s how you can get involved before and during the parade:

  • Float and Sign Making: We’ll need your help getting ready for the parade! You can help us make signs and blow up balloons for our float! We’ll let you know the day and time once the parade has been rescheduled.
  • March with Us: Once the new date has been set, we’ll need people to march with us! Make sure you check back for more details for time and where to meet. Whether you’re walking with us or supporting from the side, your presence makes a difference!

This Year’s Theme: “Dr. King’s Dream: A Vision for the Future”

This theme urges us to reflect on the profound impact of Dr. King’s vision and to actively engage in shaping the future he imagined. It’s a future where justice, understanding, and unity are not ideals but realities we live by every day. As we march, let’s renew our commitment to these principles, carrying Dr. King’s dream forward into our actions and interactions.
