Love

Love is an experience, an expression and an exposure of the most valuable, vulnerable and virtuous aspect and asset intrinsic to our essence as human beings.

It is described as an intense feeling of deep affection. I like to call it, “Long-lasting original and valuable emotions, commotions and devotions.” Love doesn’t die, but it does change and evolve, occasionally dissolving into a liquefied form or formula that penetrates every aspect of the Self and soul. Liquid flows freely but is of constant volume, with a consistency like that of water or oil.

Life without love is not possible.

One of the reasons that Alfred Lord Tennyson’s famous quote “Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all” makes so much sense is because no one can hurt, harm or even hate you like someone you love or who loves you. But life without it, is not possible, be it of parents, siblings, plants or puppies.

Love is a kind of incurable human disease or dis-ease that we’re all afflicted with and affected by. Scriptures say, “love is patient” and I say that love actually is a patient in need of constant affordable healthcare and treatment. Treating love like a patient is the best way to cherish and survive it.

Nevertheless; as it has been said: “Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.” We are most alive when we are loved, in love, or when we are loving. “The only thing we never get enough of is love; and the only thing we never give enough of is love.” There is only one basic happiness in this life and that is to love and be loved.

Love is something you do.

Love is not only something you feel, but also something you do. We love you here at All Souls, not just because of who you are, but because of who we are when and as we are together.
