Two New Opportunities to Connect hosted by Francia and Mariela

Two new intercultural programs as part of our Wednesday Connections.

All Souls member Francia Allen wanted to get people together for one-on-one conversations. With facilitated prompts and guidance, Francia’s goal is for people to learn more about each other’s differences, stories, and commonalities. Members of the All Souls Intercultural Team were Francia’s first group to experience the Curious Conversation setting.

Flourish for People of Color

Intern Minister, Mariela Pérez Simons brings to our ministry her love of color, art, nature, photography, writing, dancing, and community-building. Connecting with the people of color in our congregation and connecting our POC community together is what her Wednesday Connections class Flourish is all about. Julia Richardson is looking forward to learning how the group will take shape. “I think it’s important for people of color to connect at the church, helping us to cross bridges and get to know each other,” Julia said. Mariela invites those interested in Flourish to meet her for dinner starting at 5:30 p.m. and continue the evening in relationship with one another.
