Join All Souls in a community-wide, digital Lent practice!
This daily practice is inspired by the UULent practice developed by Mr. Barb Greve. From Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday (3/6-4/21), a word and image will be posted every day on All Souls’ Instagram account (@allsoulstulsa). If you’re on Instagram, we’d love for you to follow @allsoulstulsa and share your daily reflections with us.
We encourage you to reflect on the daily word. This could be through awareness, journaling, art, etc. Take a photo of something that resonates for you or with your relationship with the word of the day. Share your photo (taken by you) on Instagram (or Facebook if you like) and share with us by using the #AllSoulsTulsa and #AllSoulsLent. Please feel free to also include any brief reflective words you wish to share along with your photo.
We will kick off Lent and our Lenten practice following our special Ash Wednesday Chapel service at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6. This chapel service will follow our regular Wednesday Connections dinner. Learn more about Wednesday Connections dinner, chapel, and classes on our website.
Em Kianka is deeply committed to exploring Unitarian Universalist identity and theology in order to identify how we can theologically respond to racism, xenophobia, and other forms of oppression in ways that center the embodied spirit of life and the connection we collectively hold with the sacred. She brings this calling with her to All Souls as our intern minister.
