For one session only on September 28, member and former Judge Bill Kellough will present The Burden of Fines and Costs: The Dirty Secret of Criminal Justice. We’ll discuss the effect of fines and costs in criminal sentencing and the downward spiral it often creates, while looking at new legislation that holds the promise of improving this intolerable situation.
We have two multi-session classes also beginning on the 28th and continuing into October. Of Course You Can Meditate with Rev. Cathey Edwards, is an in-person or online class with an interactive format perfect for both beginners and experienced meditators. In Divination as a Spiritual Exercise with Lynn Bootes, we’ll explore a selected variety of divination traditions from Christian prayer practices, Transcendentalism, awareness of omens, folk practices, I Ching, tarot/hermetic traditions, and astrology.
