This Summer, we’ve invited a few of our members who came to All Souls with Carlton D. Pearson in 2008 to share their heart-opening and profoundly inspirational stories.
On Sunday, June 10 Nicole Ogundare joined Rev. Marlin Lavanhar to share insight from her personal and spiritual journey—from mega-church Pentecostalism to worshipping, joining, and working with All Souls.
Nicole Ogundare is a beloved All Souls member and our Ministry and Life Events Coordinator. She leads our Welcoming Souls team helping us to create an environment of radical hospitality, love, and acceptance.
On Sunday, July 1, Dorothy Checotah, joined Rev. Gerald Davis on the chancel. She shared her story of how she met Carlton Pearson and that love is more than being accepted, it’s being truly included.
Dorothy Checotah has been a member of All Souls since 2008 is the current Board of Trustees Secretary. She has served the church in many capacities including Newcomers Board/Greeters, Intercultural Bridging Team, Pastoral Care Team, Shadz (formerly Mosaic) and Worship Associates.
Summer Sundays at All Souls focus on the Life Beyond …
10:00 a.m. | Life Beyond Certainty
Life Beyond Certainty leans heavily toward our Humanist approach which is the basis of our Humanist Hour (The Point) service.
11:30 a.m. | Life Beyond Hell
Carlton D. Pearson and All Souls ministers will preach in our Life Beyond Hell services.
10:00 a.m. & 11:30 a.m. | Life Beyond Division Discussion Groups
In a time of major societal divisions, these discussion groups offer opportunities to broaden our understanding and perspectives through connection and conversation.
Since the film Come Sunday was released on Netflix, Carlton Pearson has launched his online ministry ComeMonday.org. You can see Carlton at All Souls in-person or via our live stream two Sundays a month. He will preach in the 10 & 11:30 a.m. service on July 22.
